Restaurant Tama’A Maitai

Stopped in for lunch as we were circling the island on our scooter on New Years Eve. This is a little gem right on the beach and should not be missed. The food was fantastic and so was the service. It's open air and this allowed you to eat outside or inside. We loved this little place a highly recommend stopping in for a great experience. Oh, did I say the staff was super attentive and took good care of us.

The location is pretty good, sea side, with both indoor and outdoor seating on the sand. Accepts outside guests, should call in advance for a reservation. Food is mostly good, but not great. Went here multiple times for dinner and the steak and hamburger were not as good as I was expecting. Some of the staff are OK and very friendly while others are not.

Came here for dinner on a weeknight and it is open to non-hotel guests. We ordered the carbonara pasta, the chicken curry with a side of rice, and beef stirfry to split among the four of us. The food was tasty and though the price was on the higher end, we enjoyed our meal. They gave us complimentary bread and butter at the beginning. Seating is covered. The carbonara is more like a fettucine alfredo in taste but my sister liked this dish the best. The chicken curry had a nice coconut flavor in the sauce and we got green beans as a side. The chicken was a bit dry but the sauce made up for it. Finally, we got a side of fries for the beef stir fry and it was like a lomo saltado in taste.

Had pizza here as a non-guest of the hotel because they were open on Christmas Day and it was actually quite good! Very generous cheesy toppings. Tomato sauce did taste suspiciously like puree from a can and the crust wasn’t perfect, but for a Polynesian pizza I was very happy. Seating is nice at the sea side although overlooking the property’s bungalow. Service efficient and friendly.

Nice place for lunch, you get the small beach and a place to swim around shallow waters. The food is quite nice. Try something exotic. You will enjoy it with sea Breeze with the food. Car park is available with toilet if you need to run for a quick pee

Very solid flavors. All salads come with some dressing. Lunch with my husband: we shared a goat salad + the trio of fish. More than enough for a great meal. Dinner: I had the fish burger, which really hit the spot. Nicely cooked with crispy fries on the side Ambience is 10/10
